In this summer, on June 19-22, the large-scale international exercises WEBER RESCUE DAYS will be held in the village of Horodyshche at the training area of the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in Rivne oblast. Ukraine will host these exercises for the first time, and, aware of its responsibilities to international colleagues, the rescuers of the SESU are already getting ready to take part in the event.
The exercises began to hold on a regular basis in Germany 8 years ago under the patronage of the manufacturing firm of the equipment for rescuers Weber-Hydraulik GmbH, when the organizers Rainer Stüber and Bernard Omeimair invited rescuers from all over the world to master modern methods of rescue work by using the appropriate equipment, to study the designs of the newest cars and, in general, to exchange practical experience with colleagues from other countries. On average, the rescuers from 20 countries of the world participate in WEBER RESCUE DAYS every year.
According to the organizers, such exchange practical experience is very effective and, as the rescuers themselves have made clear, they can use the most up-to-date methods of rescue in their everyday work.
The area, where the event will be held, is divided into several locations. In particular, the place for theoretical classes that will take place on the first and last day of the exercises, for the exhibition of fire-technical equipment, as well as the sections where practical training will be held in pairs in nine directions during two days. All sections are provided with a set of life-saving equipment Weber Hydraulik and personal protective equipment.
Participation in exercises is usually taken by professional rescuers, as well as the representatives of local fire brigades and voluntary pools. During practical part, the typical and rather complex scenarios of an accident involving cars, trucks, and so forth will be considered. Separately, the features of the constructions of the newest cars, which participants demonstrably disassemble with the help of emergency and rescue equipment, will be study.
It should be reminded that in February there was already a working meeting with the representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation GIZ and the company Weber-Hydraulik GmbH in the SESU Office, where the parties discussed the organizational issues, including the capacity of the necessary logistics and the number of personnel to be involved at WEBER RESCUE DAYS.
